The less you hear about Jonathan Glazer’s Under The Skin (2013), the better. So here's my non-review blog post on the subject...
Imagine throwing Stanley Kubrick’s 2001: A Space Odyssey (1968) into a blender along with the children’s series Look and Read, Nicolas Roeg and the grim aesthetic of Michael Winterbottom’s Butterfly Kiss (1995). Throw in a couple of magic mushrooms and enjoy this wholly sensorial, haunting and beautifully strange adaptation of Michel Faber’s incredible novel. Under The Skin is not just a film, it's an experience.
One you must experience yourself.
